In the Financial Industry, the end of the quarter is of some significance relative to performance, re-allocating portfolios and the anticipation of what lies ahead. The end of a quarter for many companies marks one more period of profit or loss and stated objectives and expectations going forward.
Does the end of the quarter have a big impact in your life, or is it just another day? In much of the country, April begins the trend of much nicer weather, green grass and sun. It’s really a wonderful time of year to once again see the countryside come to life.
I believe the end of the quarter is a great time to look back and reflect on our goals for 2015 and how far we’ve come toward achieving them. Not only is it a good time to take assessment of the year, it’s a great time to make plans for the balance yet to come.
The spring and summer calendars seem to fill up very quickly, whether with family vacations, outdoor adventures, or work trips. Now is the time to revisit our plans and make time for what you’re most passionate about. For the kids and I, we are planning a return trip to Medora, ND this summer. A great place to explore, have summer fun and learn about our state’s history.
Embrace the end of the quarter and make plans for the next. There is plenty of time to work toward your 2015 goals and enjoy life to the fullest. A little bit of planning can go a long ways in feeling accomplished and prepared when we hit ½ way through the year. Remember, today is a good day to think of a good April Fools plan for tomorrow.
