If you were to Google the word, before formulating your own definition, you would find perspective as: a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view, source Wikipedia.
I believe the word has a much deeper definition and honestly some life changing connotations if we know how powerful a perspective can be. Begin to think of examples where you have used your perspective in daily life situations. I think we could make the argument that this thought process is required almost every moment of every day.
It’s my belief that perspective has a direct correlation to how we respond to questions, handle matters in our lives and ultimately react to situations.
When you walk into work and are approached with the challenge of the day, your perspective ultimately helps determine the outcome or at a minimum how you go about handling it. Arriving at home and spending time with your family, your perspective drives conversation and the direction of your life.
The perspective you bring to each moment of your life is powerful. But wait! How you chose to handle that embedded information and relay it to others or use yourself is where the power lies. Your delivery, communication style and most importantly how your perspective is conveyed will ultimately dictate that power you have from all those life moments where your perspective was created.
Knowing you have perspective is the powder behind the gun of knowing how to actually use it.
