#Balance Brief – start small

We are halfway through the week, which means only 3 more days until my exciting Saturday cheat meal combined with a morning run to my local grocery store for their famous blueberry muffins. Well they might not actually be famous, but trust me, these are
the muffins that won’t last on the rack if you wait until late in the morning.
Leading a healthy lifestyle requires patience, dedication and significant balance. Finding that balance takes time and will not happen overnight by the magic of a pill, protein drink or online program. Making a change to healthy eating and incorporating
exercise into your day, simply starts with you and must start small. Truth be told, it has taken me years of trial and error to determine what works for me. And even today as I believe I have a good balance in my life, I know it will continue to change as
my life evolves.
There are many ways to begin the process of change, relative to your health. Thankfully there are thousands of articles and countless resources around us all the time to provide help when needed. What I do know for sure, is you have to start small. When
I say small, I mean really small. The consistency and routine of your day cannot be changed dramatically and expect it to stick. Yet small changes to what you eat for breakfast, the 10 minute walk at noon or the extra mile on your bike at night are all simple
examples of powerful changes and how YOUR BALANCE can begin to take shape. Make a change to what you do today and see how it feels. Tweak your eating habits just a little and take note of how your body reacts. Simple changes can equal results.
Keep it simple.

I grew up enjoying the sport of hunting and have truly come to fully appreciate every aspect of the hunt…leading up to the kill. The show has taken me to some amazing destinations where I have met some wonderful people, places where I now visit on a regular basis.
