2012 – North Dakota Archery Buck Cross Tine Jr.

I am very fortunate this evening to be thinking about the events that unfolded in front of my eyes at a mere 20 yards Sunday night. It’s still very surreal as I sit back and relive the moments around 8:00pm central time in the woods on our ND property. It was at that time that a few “crunches” of leaves alerted me to a deer coming in on my down wind side and to bringing my bow up and into the ready position. Once this magnificent animal entered the clearing in the woods, there was no question other than for me to say…”Shooter”. I knew at that moment that it was Cross Tine Jr., a buck that I have watched blow into a giant in our woods, as now a 4 1/2 year old deer. The rest of the events of last night will be shared on our website and on our show, as we relive those very intense few minutes and the amazing 3 1/2 years of growing this incredible animal.

To that end, we feel very blessed to have such great sponsors that allow us to now tell this story and the background on what it took to have that Absolutely Perfect night in the woods!

Thank you to everyone for making this happen for me and for our crew who enjoys it with me. We Are Fortunate.

I grew up enjoying the sport of hunting and have truly come to fully appreciate every aspect of the hunt…leading up to the kill. The show has taken me to some amazing destinations where I have met some wonderful people, places where I now visit on a regular basis.
